Fluro or Braid line on recoil guide

Hi guys,

Any suggestion on whether I should run 3lb-4lb fluro or 0.8 PE braid line for the recoil guide on TSR862-2.

Planning to use either FC Sniper for fluro or Sunline Castaway for braid on a Shimano 2500S reel.

After doing some research, the concerns I have are tangles on the stripping guide while using braid line even tying fg knot and unable to punch long cast using fluro which is important for me as I'm fishing land-based.

Thanks
Matthew

I run 10lb castaway on the same rod with a 2506 luvi, it has none of the problems that your concerned about

Thanks Piranha. Tried it on yesterday, the cast is smooth and tangle free and I'm just using the Sunline Super PE.....Recoil is not as bad as others commented.

no worries Matt, some people seem to hate them with a passion, I have 3 recoil rods and never have problems with tangles in the guides
