First time bass fishing

Hey fellas, I've been invited to a private dam that's loaded with bass with average sizes of 1.8- 3kg.
I've never fished for bass but I've got a fair idea how to.
Any tips that could just boost my confidence a bit more? What lures, colours, etc.
I've got a fair trout and bream hard body collection these days so I should be covered with most styles of fishing,

Cheers

Hey mate, is the dam deep or shallow?

My biggest tip is find out the bait fish in the dam! Bony bream school deep but if there are no bony bream then the dam should fish well on the edges so try for that reaction bite with cranks and spinnerbaits. If there are bony bream schools find the schools and find the bass!

Thanks mate, I think it's a paddock that flooded so he built a wall to hold the
water and the bass in the dam that was originally there bred

I know a few people that have fished it and caught 4lb bass every time they've been, so I'm fairly confident with the lures I have and the techniques I know.
I just wanted a few others' thoughts to help boost my confidence

Its obviously in vic so there's no bony bream in there.

Bass cant breed in dams Lachie, they need salt water to do that. It will just be whatever was stocked in there.

Most blokes that i know who have stocked bass also stock glass shrimp and yabbies too.

They should hit most lures dude and any yabbies imatation.

Bass in farm dams are not too hard to catch, so take what ever you use for bream and trout mate.

That's what I was unsure about so I put the "" in there haha

I really wanna give my new double clutches a go
But I guess I'll just use similar techniques as I do to the lake trout
