The prefish ban for any competitors is now in place for the Moore River system. This is an all waters ban and also includes going for a paddle just for a look.

The start and finish location will be in the Silver Creek car park.
https://goo.gl/maps/xWbJJKRrrck

We would like to ask all competitors to park at the northern and eastern sides of the car park.

This location is unfortunately far from ideal for a start and will provide challenges.

Once you enter the water there is no beach to get everything prepped so you will need to have your kayak ready to go at launch.

Prep your Kayak away from the launching area which you will be able to see once you arrive. You will need to prep everything ready to fish before launching.

Please do not launch until requested and do not crowd the launch area.

The start will be in order of payment as it is seen on the list above.

Everything else will be explained at the briefing, we also ask that all anglers please listen and follow instructions on the morning.

Thank you in advance and we look forward to seeing you all there.

Hi Ian,

Would a start like what they do in the east coast be more ideal (e.g all on the water and have a start line marker) .... have all the kayakers peddle out to the Moore river channel near Silver Creek and use the 5 knot marker buoy as a start line?. if we use Silver creek the difference between the first kayakers and the last could be 15mins or more considering its going to be difficult to have everyone in the water before the start.

Cheers Brendon

Update!

Apparently the water levels are extremely low, however the good news is that the bar has finally closed.

However how long it will stay closed for is unknown.

Keep your fingers crossed and we will hopefully see a full system again by the weekend.

Looking forward to this one only been to this place once with kids and splashed around on small kayaks in that creek launch area , never fished it before but my understanding is theres a lot of smaller fish amongst the big ones , hopefully everybody can manage a full bag of legal bream .

Looking like we will get over 40 by the weekend a very solid field .

Entry and payment made

This should be a very interesting round, super shallow last week to the point of hitting sand with mirage drive in areas of the river you would usually fly over in the boat . good too see a big turn out aswell!
