Replacing seajigger
I caught a few salmon off the beach at Cape Conran this weekend using a backup rod when my trusty Diawa Seajigger 315 lost 4 inches off the tip when the kids closed the roof pod on it. So I need a new rod and wondered whether to just get the replacement version (SJ325L) or try something new. I will repsir the broken one but it will become a backup or ‘friend’s’ one now. I’ve broached the subject of this type of rod here before and had a few helpful suggestions but wondered if anyone has tried the new seajiggers or if they could suggest an alternative new or used rod. Use will be almost exclusively chucking 20-35g lures into the surf for salmon and tailor so casting distance is a must. I prefer light (sometimes SPs), but am vaguely considering using a Daiko Raven I have for light stuff (10-20) and maybe buying a heavier rod for 30-60g lures on rougher or windy days. Any ideas?

I was going to suggest a Zenaq, but that might be a tad much haha.

Yep, a bit high. Found out I can’t get spares for seajigger so def getting a new rod now. Has the Lateo recommended. Anyone tried them? Am in regional vic so local tackle stores aren’t much help in either advice or available range to look at so hoping for first hand advice here
