Available online already from the auction place.

About $30 for a retail spool of 150m,

Or in bulk from Germany for about $12 per 100m, in any length you order.

Lighter strain (4kg) harder to find at the moment, plenty of 6, 8 & 11.

I know Henry and this review http://www.henry-gilbey.com/blog/som...nline?rq=gliss reminds me an awful lot of my own experience with Nanofil - fraying at the working end and unexpected breaks. Even if Gliss isn't identical to Nanofil it certainly seems to share some of its weaknesses.

Starlos review dosent share the same experience in regards to fraying. Seems to be some reports of it though from a few forums ive checked, nobody can really lock down what exactly is causing it. Type of knots ? Type of guide ? etc hopefully its solved soon.

bender loaded some up to try for squiding, it literally self destructed after an hours use, twisted to crap and went all fluffy, suffice to say he wasn't satisfied with it

I am questioning the guides on his rods however... Wonder if the quality of the inner ring had anything to do with it?

Might work fine with lighter lures and less vigorous casting - in Henry's case with sea bass fishing it's 20-25g lures banged out all day on 9' rods - going to put a lot more wear and tear on a line than bream tackle will.

i run the same rod, he tried a few different braids at the time and nothing extreme like that happened to them, he spooled the varivas back on and its fine.

Did he do the stocking thing with the guides like I said to do?

I just ordered a 150 meters spool of 11 KG for $33.40 shipped to USA. Will do a KBS with FG knot and report back. I have three seasons with Nanofil in 6, 10, and 12lbs so I'll know how it compares to Nanofil as regard to the fraying problem.

Well I'm getting the spool of Gliss of Sharn soon being sent over from Perth. I'll take some pictures of the wear he's noticing and do my own usage tests on my rods on the other new end.

Will be keen to see what all this line is all about and even scuff this against some rough edging of a wall and see how many rubs it takes to rub through against mono and Fireline...

Keep you all posted. Thanks to Sharn again for the gliss to test
