Why I said that is that the dying fish is more reminiscent to a bait fish than a natural food source of than that found in any freshwater system I have around me.

While I know bass and toga's eat them without question - it's not something I am fondly casting around every freshwater haunt I visit, but like the MMD Splash Prawn...

I just like to use more suitable freshwater offerings.

Yeah they are not great to cast, although I wouldn't say they were any worse then a bent minnow. They are a killer lure though for the bass. My PB bass came off one and I rarely have a session where I don't tie one on. I mainly just use the middle point and cast into snags. The feintest of twitches gets it sending ripple waves out without it even barely moving from it's spot.
