New king fish reefs for the heads

probably wont effect many but I was impressed with the size of the things - they usually drop down things the size of a large garden pot plant

Check out one of our new purpose-built kingfish reef modules! It’s one of 16 being fabricated right now.
Each module measures 4m x 5m and will be arranged in clusters of four, spaced about 50m apart.
They’ll be deployed north of Observatory Point inside Port Phillip Heads to attract kingfish and further improve the wonderful game fishing that so many people have been enjoying at the bottom end of the bay lately.
Their new reef’s location will help more boats fish safely for kingfish, away from the busy shipping channel.
Deployment is scheduled for March and will deliver on another commitment of the Victorian Government’s $35m Go Fishing plan to get more people fishing, more often.
