Even before the pallets were fully busted up - the vultures came circling.
3 x 90cm planters boxes were ordered |

They're going to be hung on a north facing garden fence - so she wanted them to be easy to remove in case of heat waves or frosts - I went with a "French Cleat" mounting system

The old fella must have had a couple when taking his measurements. His sketch indicated a 3m ramp that would require side supports.

But when I got there - it turned out that a couple of fence palings would have done the trick.
Came home with almost as much wood as I brought with me |

Good work Larry. I didn't know Bunnings hired trolleys.

Went for an exploratory mission to see if the yabbies had come out of hibernation yet - turns out they had
Found a few with nice blue claws so I held on to them. Last edited by yellow door 1; 22-09-2017 at 03:29 AM. |

Unfortunately for the goldfish - this was a few weeks ahead of schedule.
While I was acclimatizing them to the outside pond - they were getting a bit up set at the 17.8 degree mark - Last edited by yellow door 1; 22-09-2017 at 03:13 AM. |

And by the time it got down to 13.4 - they had cracked the full blown sooks
Hopefully they're still kicking on Monday |

The Yabbies were a little sooky aswell - but they seemed to be handling the transition a little better

Oh yeah - and I had to move the dragon fly for the 3rd time - I wasnt happy with the way the shadows looked against a bumpy wooden fence - Cement block gives a better outline - part of me was tempted to trace the outline at 3pm and colour it in with black paint - but another part of me thinks I might need permission before permanently marking the wall
