Fly Jigs

I haven't done this for a while, but fly tying isn't just for flies. Fly jigs have even won tournaments here in WA so they have been tested before. Any way, after a recent trip I had a few ideas of some jigs for steve Anderson and thought I'd share what I have so far.

Again, great job Bear. Better seeing them on the large screen than phone.

May give it a go myself, I have loads of jig tinsel lying around somewhere in my piles of junk in the garage...

Look great Bear. I imagine the zonka ones would have a nice slow sink rate and work with the slightest currents. I tied a nice surf candy on a jig a couple of months back but have lost it and never made another. It certainly outfished metals for salmon. Thanks for sharing! Might have to give this a go so I have more subtle presentations available on days when I only have spin gear.

Haven't had that yet Brad, bad enough copping a heavy clouser in the back. Left a bloody great bruise.

So these are used with a fly setup or a light spin gear?

They are used on spin like any plastic would be. One of the advantages here is that you can also makes them weedless as you can a fly. I'm playing with making a few jigs weedless and still take a plastic.
