been having some huge flatties nail the damiki monster miki 4.5's in the last couple of weeks. any single tail grub will catch you a feed too

Thanks for all the advice, it will all go to great use in the next weeks... I just really want to get a new pb flatty and get amongst the big females out there. As said thanks everybody for sharing, greatly appreciated

If you want a big flattie then throw a big lure like 5-9 inch grubs and shads. Around rock walls where the sand and rock meet are also good places and will also give you a chance for a Jew as well. You will probably have to fish 6kg or more and around 15lb leader. Heavier gear makes more sense because you don't want to fight a large lizard nearly to death and let her go uncertain if the fish will survive.

I agree, squidgy fish in the old killer tomato color or grasshopper, but if fishinf really clear water i use 100 mm lava colour wriggler

80-100mm squidgy fish or 100-120mm wrigglers... just keep switching profile, sizes & jig heads to find the right combo for the day... my fav is the 80mm black gold fish.

I've caught some crackers on the big monster mikis as well but have a hard time putting the armor shads down when on a lizzard hunt!

The old killer tomato use to be my fav but hard to find the old colour....the new killer tomato sucks

Curious why do so many seem to use Gulp for flatties? Don't you find after a few fish they are chewed to bits? Flatty go for all kinds of placcies Gulp is probably the last thing i'd be chucking personally. Just curious not having a go
