Jackal Chubby Questions?

I might be a bit slow off the mark with this but I was talking to a mate a few weeks back who entered the last Walpole event as a non-boater. One of the things he said was that the guys he fished with were still talking about the Jackal Chubbys as a 'must have' lure for bream on the East Coast (I can imagine the deepies being good for bass there too).
He also said that stocks were pretty much 'stiched up' and they were hard to get hold of.
Has anyone used them with much success in WA and who stocks them?
The translucent ones look like the go but I would also be keen to get some opinions on color and shallow v deep runners.

Cheers mbp

Jackall Chubby

Watch the latest AFC video which shows Scott Towner using them.

Give Paul Randall from Mandurah Tackle Mart a ring, he is a big fan of them.

Aussie Angler and Tackleworld sell them.

Dont know if they are a must have lure, lots of different lures catch fish.
I have fished the deep diver at Walpole in comps and caught fish, not on the flats, in the 'Ayu' colour.
Ian Miller introduced me to them in last years GF over east. He used them with success fishing yachts.
He modified the deep diver so they would suspend down deep as dont think suspending chubbies were available then?
Always try and match the lure to the depth of water you are fishing, as far as deep versus shallow is concerned.hth.

cheers muzz.
