Getaway Outdoors WA Kayak Classic Shimano Rnd 1 Moore River List
So round 1 of the Getaway Outdoors Kayak classic season is coming upon us fast.
The Moore River is a beautiful system located less than an hour North of Perth, it is a small yet productive system which is notorious for lots of small fish, however is known to hold some exceptional bream as well. There is also a fisheries website that has documented an Australian Bass being caught in this system. If you would like to enter this round please get your entry in ASAP. If you would like to enter and pay on the day you will have to let us know that you will be attending. Due to the popularity of this round last year and the size of the arena there is a very real possibility that numbers will be capped. If we hit the number of entries those wishing to enter and or pay on the day will unfortunately miss out on fishing. Rules for this event can be found here http://www.breammaster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67432 The entry form can be found here http://www.westoz.fish/wp-content/up...try-form-1.pdf Once you click on the above link it will open in your browser, you will then need to open the pdf with Adobe Reader so that you can fill it in and e mail it online. There will be a small snack pack provided on the day as well as a breakfast of bacon and eggs (fire restriction dependent) as well as cereal tea and coffee in the morning. Entries will only be confirmed once we have received a completed entry form and full payment. For more info and shat on this event also check out the WA Bream Classics Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TheWesternA...azine/?fref=nf If you have any questions or would like an entry form e mailed to you please feel free to contact us at wafm@westnet.com.au Please do not send PM's, IM's, facebook messages or anything other than e mails or phone calls as unfortunately we may miss your request. The prefish ban for any competitors is now in place for the Moore River system. This is an all waters ban and also includes going for a paddle just for a look.
The start and finish location will be in the Silver Creek car park. https://goo.gl/maps/xWbJJKRrrck We would like to ask all competitors to park at the northern and eastern sides of the car park. This location is unfortunately far from ideal for a start and will provide challenges. Once you enter the water there is no beach to get everything prepped so you will need to have your kayak ready to go at launch. Prep your Kayak away from the launching area which you will be able to see once you arrive. You will need to prep everything ready to fish before launching. Please do not launch until requested and do not crowd the launch area. Everything else will be explained at the briefing, we also ask that all anglers please listen and follow instructions on the morning. Thank you in advance and we look forward to seeing you all there.

As stated in the top post there were limited spaces for the Moore river round, the start location has its limitations and the waterway is not massive, as such 45 anglers is the maximum number to allow all anglers a bit of space on this waterway.
AS such this event is now full, we are very sorry if you wanted to fish and missed out, if you have a pending entry you need to make payment or get your entry form in to guarantee your position. Thank you and sorry to anyone that has missed out. See you at the Perth round.

A few people have asked if they can paddle from the caravan park on the Sunday morning to the start location without being disqualified.
If you are staying at the caravan park or would like to launch in town and make your way to Silver Creek on the Sunday morning that is fine, but remember not to give in to temptation and have a cast!

Looking forward to seeing everyone up at the Moore River tomorrow morning, please try and get there a little bit early, this the first event and everyone including us may need to brush the cobwebs off and remember how it is all done, Briefing will be at 0640 sharp, we will have a bit to get through and also the start location has its own issues as well.
Good luck to everyone and see you there!
