price on SAS has or is going up. its a real hit an miss like 99% of braids. been plenty taken back to shops with random weak breakages; then on the other hand heaps of people love it.

I would say get on Unitika Light Jigging 6lb, 8lb. Power Jigging 11lb. Aorika II 8lb while its still 30% and 50% off. I got 4 spools for $120 delivered. I was paying $95 a spool at the local.

Thanks to Luke's tip on Plat discount for Unitika lines, I've just gotten a spool of braid and a spool of leader at a fraction of the price it would otherwise have cost me online or locally! Thanks!

good hey. don't think its going to last long because it was all Unitika 50% off for a while.. now only a few types are 30% and a few 50%. Luckily the 3 main ones are still 30-50% stocking up for the next 10 years. only spent 200 and something which would have cost me $1000 at the local.

Mate I don't think you'll come across an owner of a company who won't put his faith in his products when trying to make a sale off a customer

I recently bought 1000m of 4pd fire line for $80

It will fill more than 10 spools for less than $8 a spool.

Not very trendy but I have been using it forever. It has never caused me any problems, it's tough, lasts for years and is affordable.

I dont care so much about trend but i find fireline very wirey and you cant compare to the smoothness of some jap lines. My first experience with braid was with fireline. Man i was hooked from the first cast!
Plus i still use power pro on a few of my set ups, dont think that rates in the trendy end either lol

SAS 6lb is way too thin and has alot of abrasion issues.
If you have you heart set on it id get the 12lb is as thin as most 6-8lb braids and doesnt suffer as bad from the abrasion issues.

I replaced my 6 and 8lb SAS with the Unikita Light jigging that Luke recommended.

Its not as thin as SAS but it ties the best knots i have ever come across, and i have tried ALOT of braids.
Also it very easy to remove wind knots due to it being so round

Being a 200m spool and marked every 10m it was super easy to put 100m on both my reels, which makes the price worthwhile. You could even go halves with a mate and use 100m each.

My second fav line is Daiwa tournament 8 Braid in 10lb.
This stuff is super thin and very strong but its $60 for 150m

Value for money 2 and 3lb Stren Mirco fuse is a thin dependable line that is more like a 6lb line. It is often on sale if you look around.

Dont buy 4lb+ though as it get super thick.
