Another lure copy....

Hey,

Was watching ifish today and they were talking about some 'new' lures tackle world were releasing.

http://www.ifish.com.au/store/produc...da-Badger-40mm

Looks very similar to another lure brand.... Not just the body but even some of the colours!

That would be interesting if that were the case. I can't buy that model from the same factory because they said it is already sold in aus and they don't want any clashes between clients

Lets not forget that they make just as much money off one of these then any other lure as they're in house brands. They're easy to sell, they're cheap and they make a HEAP more money on them then name brands. To put into perspective a lure that they would be selling for $14.95 I wouldn't expect it to cost them more then $3.

Don't forget that some people tell you to buy X lure because is makes them X money. I'll say what everyone else is thinking and that the Badger has no originality and is just an Atomic Crank and a super weak effort from the designers and/or Tackleworld.

I might add that i'll let blokes talk, but when they say "no you have to use THIS lure" I lose all faith in them and I know they're trying to push a brand, colours, shapes, swim styles... I'll listen to that and go with my gut.

I saw some of these at a local Tackleworld. i saw some Sugapen and Sammy copies with plenty of colours to choose from at $14.95. i didn't get any out of the packet for a look so can't comment on their quality.

Ripped most of Atomics colours and a Bassday one to. Most of the others are hardly original...

So are these made in the same factory as atomic, cranka, gladiator and a heap of other brands?
There seems to be a bit of same lure syndrome going on.

I reckon your right about $3.00 would cover most of the lures coming out of those factories.

Sure they will be good just like all the other brands. $15.00 is reasonable compared to what some others ask for a $3.00 lure

Cheers
Chris

In the next few years there will be a copy for just about every single lure, if there already isn't
