Potential new kid on the block - quantum exo

Has anyone seen one of these in the flesh they look sort of cool and heading towards daiwa sort of stuff in the looks department probably $300 in aus and $200 in America the comes in three sizes 30/3000, 25/2500 and 15/1500 and the 25 only weighs 195g. What's your thoughts on them. Here is a link

felt them whilst at AFTA and they are very light but not in the same league as a daiwa or shimano in the same price bracket. Look cool but.

Sweet, I wouldn't imagine they would be as good as daiwa or Shimano. Just wondering. Still wouldn't go past daiwa haha

Funky reel. I wonder if it had a shimano or daiwa badge on it, would we rate it more highly.

They're one of my favorite looking reels ever. The down side is they just aren't as refined as some other mid priced offerings.

hhmmm

Guys are hung up on brands.These other companies coming through with fantastic gear that perform just as well.One being Abu.We need to look at function and less at badge.

I've got a quantum energy paid way too much for it when they came out and i was just getting started tought reel use it for thw yak on pinkies and carp but quantum is no where near daiwa and shimano not in the same ball park

Saw them at AFTA but didn't have a spin - couple mates did and they didn't rate it

The baitcaster felt good, the spinning, iam still undecided, will probably get the baitcasters when they arrive at year end.
