Tilt Trim Roo Ted

I can get the trim to go down from the throttle control but cant raise the motor. This Is a bit of a pain when driving the boat onto the trailer or navigating the shallows.

The motor can be raised and lowered from the control on the motor itself.

The wires connected to the red tilt/trim button (pictured below) have some serious corrosion on them.

What I was hoping to find out is how hard is it to take apart the throttle and and solder the wire back into place.

I'm heading to merrimbula and from what I remember from our midnight prawning expeditions the tilt trim button came in handy

Pic of what I'm dealing with. A result of another careless "anchor DohDohDohDohDoh" trying to use the throttle as a step ladder. Split the throttle and let the water in = corroded wires

I pulled ours apart and replaced the cables and they were pretty strait foward, no springs or tricky stuff but that was a quicksilver one so it might be different. Go exploring and give it a go.

Thanks mate - are the "cables" you are referring to the wires connected to the tilt trim button.
