GoPro Charger & Spare Batteries
For christmas Santa brought the kids a GoPro Silver Hero 4, a gift that really seems to have hit the mark, though I wouldn't be surprised if from time to time the camera finds its way boat-mounted whilst dad goes fishing.
Seeking advice on a charger and in particular spare batteries. Are the aftermarket options safe, or better to stick with the GoPro originals? Thanks in Advance Seal1 |

Hi Seal
I brought a charger and batteries from http://www.dx.com/s/gopro and all works good but a lot less $$$ then original gopro stuff...

GoPro Charger & Spare Batteries
Seal,
I've found the Smatree branded batteries pretty good, should be plenty of them on eBay. Rob |

I've used the cheapo aftermarket batteries in my Hero 3+ for about 6 months and haven't had a problem with them, although they don't last as long as the official GoPro ones. Three batteries and a USB charger cost me $20 off eBay, I can PM you the seller's name if you like.

Thanks for the info fellas.
Ordered a charger & 2x batteries for under $20, so will see how they go. Cheers |
