HB's vs SB's in summer

is there much truth in the fact that the bream are easier to score on HB's than SB's in summer?

or is it just that in summer the bream head out on the flats and its easier to target flats with HB's than SB's ?

what are better sb's to use on the flats

was just wondering cause i missed out on the winter SB bonanza and was hoping to try a couple of bass minnows on the flats in the next couple of days, i find them a lot more exciting to use, more thrill in the bite..etc

i think that you'll find that the only reason that more fish are caught on HB is that the blowies get worse in summer.

I've also found that as the weather and water warms up, Bream become more agressive and will more readily hit a HB. In the snaggy areas, this makes them more of an option that they would be in winter.

JMO.

Besides, I LOVE the way Bream wack a HB

Well i hate to disagree with the other guys but i find the actual opposite.
Ive been out a few times over the last few weeks and have found that i getting more fish with plastics than Hard Bodies.
But i will say im getting bigger bream on hard bodies than SP.

Reg your question about what Plastics to use on the flats ive found that 3' Bass Minnows have been working well, aswell as the 2' Berkly power grub in Pumpkinseed.
Just my opinion.

I've found no difference. They'll hit when they are in their feeding mode, or if you're in their territory. If there's heaps of toadies around, then I'll switch to HB's as they'll just chew up all your SP's.

Often people will find it easier to fish hb.

If you fish plastics PROPERLY in MOST situations they are more productive.

Having said that can't beat a bream whacking a hb right in front of you
