Matching Rod with Stradic 1000 Ci4

Hey Guys,

Went for a flick yesterday with a mate and unfortunately my mate ended up snapping my Team Daiwa X 1.5-3kg. My mate is more then happy to help replace it but I thought I'd quickly ask bream master if you felt there may be another rod in the similar price range that I may have overlooked.

Maybe have a look at the 7 foot Lox Yoshi. They cost around $200. I have one paired up with a 1000 Sustain and it's a great outfit to use.

Have to agree hard to go past Trion for their price. If you have more to spend Patriarch is a great rod.

Some other rods I figure might be worth gauging opinions on

Shimano T-Curve and the Daiwa Tournament Specialist Bream

Definitely go the Tournament Special if you want the step up from the X, a very noticeable difference. A particular Sydney retailer has them at $299 at present.

I have had my Lox 1-3kg 6'6 with a 1000 Symetre for quite along while.
Its performance has been nothing but faultless, it is sensitive and has an awesome action.

I picked it up for $150 posted from another forum member who loved them so much he went and bought another one after I bought it off him.

I plan on upgrading the reel when I get some more money as I feel that is where I am let down when running fluro.

Can purchase one new for $250 so it really is looking like a nice option.

Get the Trion with K Guides and get the rest in cash - buy him a drink and tell him that the rest if going into the kitty for another day when he snaps another rod of yours.

Haha! Thats a wise move. I have one of these mates as well as 2 new brothers in law. Both of which are not very tip friendly......
