Heading to the States What to buy?!

So we have our USA trip for this Quarter and have decided to do a bit of fishing gear shopping!

I was planning on getting a hydrowave, some megabass lures from our 'supplier' and perhaps a new bag etc for the boat.

Made me think though, what would you buy if you were heading to the states, would you be buying lures, rods, reels etc.

I am heading to the west coast wityh my staff and not likley to see more than bass pro shop, local tackle shops, orvis and a few others.

Thinking of heading on teh weekend to the G.Loomis store to make a few videos for our video site too, still waiting for confirmation.

Don

I'd be looking at lures and where possible (transport wise) rods. The price of reels over there is closer to ours but rods and lures can give some big savings!

Lures in the USA are actually pretty crappy, went to a lot of bass pros and other stores and really didn't have anything good for bream, a few cheap damiki plastics and some other plastics but no good hard bodies cause mostly all good hard bodies are from Japan
Reels are good price and so is power pro line and spiderwire
Wall mart is worth a look picked up some cheap 2" Berkeley hawgs cheap as and we all know they are hard to come by

Line and leader is heaps cheaper over there, I'd stock up on braid for sure.
Lures are cheap, but generally hard to find anything smaller than 3" for hardbodies

When i go to the US i can't even think of fishing gear with all their awesome music shops. High end Gee-Tars and hardware are soooo cheap.

We get ripped off so badly here in oz on everything!!!

my friend in the music industry said that all the Gibson Les-Pauls in Australia are all defects from america...
I went down to my local music store and he was right... I think there was something wrong with the neck? If you are after a good guitar, you need to buy from the US
