It's the Blue Berkley's for me too.
They got a mate out of trouble when his steering cable snapped on Native kayak. The Berks were able to cut the cable easily with the wire cutter bit and are still as good as new.

I just use the cutters on my pliers. They cut practically anything.

ive still got my Blue Berkley scissors that came in a lure pack that i bought when starting lure fishing.
its lasted a good 8 years or so and i bought it from BIG W. its seen better days now, but still works. the surecatch ones are also pretty good and i got a few from ebay for around $2 each and they are holding up well. bonus is the split ring plier option on them as well, but they will not work on bream lures as the point is too big. |

After receiving some goodies the report is in.
Scissors tested in order of best to worst: 1) Owner Scissors, slices with the most ease. 2) Berkley Blue 3) Surecatch Titanium - 2 & 3 Cut Limp Braid without using any aided shear action, just not as easy as the owners. The berkley wins Because of the rounded head and value. 4) Berkley Blue with split ring - cuts almost as well at the two above. 5) Dr Slick Forcep and Shears - These are now an old pair but still cut with some aided shear force with fingers. 6) Kershaw Kitchen Shears - Yeah Boooiiiiii, these cut braid with very little shear assistance. 7) Snowpeaks - These are new and are quite the disappointment as they require considerable shear assistance to cut limp braid. 8) Gerber Neat Freak. Similar to the Snowpeaks, don't waste your Money. Actually really disappointed with these as they will only cut with considerable shear force assistance, I thought the design was headed in the right direction but it fails fulfilling its raison detre. 9) Daiwa Yellow Handle. Don't cut well at all. 10) Berkley Black Handle with Split ring pliers. 11) Seat Belt Shears. The last two don't cut but they were not designed to cut braid. 12) Daiso With Hook remover. After all that, just buy the Berkleys. The owners are Crazy sharp and a entirely differet feel. its like the sharpness slices through by itself where there's more resistance in the cut with the Berkleys and Surecatch.
