Swingaway console?

I personally would fit a console & add lure storage but this could be an out of the box compromise

If I had a blank hull...

Small console (Formula f15 size) centre rear. No seat, or removable pedestal if you really want. Raised deck centre-bow with rod storage on either side whichever you prefer. Fuel tank centre of boat (better weight distribution especially if going +60l, 100l would be my sweet spot, shallower and longer tank). Twin batteries either side rear (say 60a/h for electrics and motor). Stern of raised deck has live well/live bait tank/kill tank. Bow end has batteries for electric motor with recess for foot controls. Another hatch in between for storage (tackle etc. Console should hold just enough safety gear). Delete the anchor well at the bow, have a bow sprit and roller, but the times you'll seemingly need it will be minimal. Electric mount and sounder take wells place. My preferred raised deck height would be just over a foot above water level. Any higher makes fishing offshore a lot more draining on your body with the boats higher centre of gravity (bass strait conditions). Foam fill any available under floor sealed space. Also think about bimini and rocket launchers to take care of rods when fishing.

Excuse the condensed post. I don't care what anyone says, they ride great, but those hulls are like a monsoonal downpour in rough seas which the console helps protect you

If its rated to 90, build the transom up, and put a 90 Mercury EFI CT on it and get smartcraft gauges (digital gauges). They weigh less than the optimax, more cubes and are an awesome motor.

Remember if you put a jack plate on it, you are again moving weight/adding more weight to the back of the boat.
Thanks xg-panelvanman for the heads up on these 4 Strokes

I knew nothing about them but do now.

Wow these New Mercury Command Thrust Motors look Sensational.

That Big Prop Size would suit deep V Boats

Worth Checking them Out Guys

Looks Like you can get them from 40hp to 115 Hp

Love to know how the 60hp Comand Thrust would go on my 445 as there is a weight saving of 47kg if it would suit.

Any idea xg-panelvanman ????

Mine is an ex tiller so it's max hp is 60. It's got a 2010 etec 60hp on the back. Cobby actually found the boat for me haha. Thanks again cobby.

Personally I have no issues with the 60 as of yet. I generally fish 1 or 2 up. Flat water I'll nudge 50km/h. Rougher water I can travel as fast as the hull will take it.

Sure you could put more hp under it. Especially if offshore was an option. However I don't have any issues with the 60. I can get it chine walking with a 60. Note it has a casting deck. Electric and 120ah dedicated battery plus console so it isn't a light tiller steer.

If I was building one I'd definitely be putting max hp on it though. 90hp would be sweet on flat water.

Fantastic Ducky thanks for input , it all helps, I'm thinking 90hp would be awesome weight is the problem , but again I see Bushy Runs a 90hp Etec at 148 kgs I think. Lightest 90hp 4 Stroke I can Find seems to be the Suzuki at 158kgs , other than that it's a Two Stroke mmmmmm Not Easy. Was keen on the Comand Thrust 60hp like in the Vids, but top end speed is worrying me, I like to go fast between spots.

Will you post up some pics maybe of your rig ?

Cheers Nordy
