Congratulations to everyone that made this comp a massive success. Bill, Nathan and Stuart, you have to be commended on the way the event run over the weekend.
For those of you that didn’t enter you missed out on one hell of a great event. The prizes where fantastic, the teams and the fishing great.
To top of a great weekend we took out the big Perch prize (caught in the last hour 150mtr from the weigh in) and finished 9th.

Cant wait till next years event.

Nick

Its Just the beginning!!!

Hi Guys

Thanks to everyone who come out to support us in our first event we really appreciate it and you guys were a major contributor to the success of the event. I have been around a number of different sporting events and I would have to say that I have never come across a nicer group of people who know how to have fun both while competing and when socialising.

I am already writing out a plan for next year and will be putting as much time as I can to make the 2006 Vic Bream Classic Series become a must do on the bream angling calender. I think this format has huge potential and will help increase interest and entry into the national ABT series events. My challenge now is to develop some substantial sponsorship partnerships with some major brand names to help make the competition sustainable.

If anyone has ideas as to how they think the comp can be improved or contacts that I can follow that may be interested in talking about sposorship please feel free to give me a call on 0409 823 070.

I will have some photos up shortly and the write up and final positions will be posted on www.bream.com.au later today. Also look out for the official write up in Jans VFM magazine.

Thanks Again

Bill

Bill, Stuie and Nath thanks for putting in so much work to make it the success it was.Talking to a few people that havn't fished the river before they where so happy with the river map to avoid a few of the pitfalls the hoppies can through up. I know you guys talked up the prizes but they were more than anyone expected. For a comp to run so smoothly as it did is a credit , for my team to take out 4 th place was a bonus, go team cadillac.
It would be interesting to do a poll of the people who fished the comp to see what they think the boat limit should be,i think that 30 was a great number for a river thats fairly small, JMO, but i dont think you could improve much on your first attempt, come on Vic Bream the series in 2006

Chris
Ps bill i'm not allowed to paint the cadillac pink

Hi Chris

It was a top effort by you guys to take out fourth. Hopefully next year you can jump up into the money spots. If you can't paint it pink what about black with flames down the side that would be cool.

Hey Chris have a look at the results thread I posted as there is a great pic of you with a horse of a bream in front of the Hooked on sign. It looks bigger than the fish that took out big bream.

Thanks again for entering.

See you in the new year.

Cheers Bill

Bill
Black has been talked about and aproved, just a lot of work needed to get it right for a black paint job, might be a good job for winter.
