jules.

im only still a novice with the FG knot and as such when the other day the DohDohDohDoh hit the fan, i gave up and used a double uni, and it worked well.
im yet to try the daiwa knot tying tool on a micro guide, if that works then ill be laughing, they do say in the promo video that it can be used for smaller guides.

Next Generation

Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone knew what was happening with the gen blacks through next year. Will there be a next 'generation' of... generation blacks coming out?

I'm trying to decide whether I grab one now, or bide my time.

QUICK QUESTION GUYS
what Daiwa Reel sizes are you guys running on your gen black wicked weasel and Itchy twitchys

i have a wicked weasel with a 2004 caldia atm. but i plan to chase mulloway and snapper on plastics with it, thinking the 2004 might not cut it if i got somethign decent on it. (there no snags so fish can run a bit if needed)

i will be buying a itchy twitchy soon for some lighter fishing and have the option to buy a new reel so wonderign wethere a 2000 size or 2500 size would be better on the wicked weasel and use the 2004 on the itchy twitchy.

cheers

I use a swampdonkey for heavier things in a kayak and it's brilliant. Haven't had it long but caught a 1m bull shark and snapper about 65cm on it. Very gutsy and pretty light in the tip so it can throw a light lure (for its size).

Paired to a 2500 SOL. Really meant to be a jack rod, jut haven't gone out looking for them yet.

Hoping for a little help here guys!!!
I am looking for a new combo and going to get a gen black with a freams. But I am unsure whether to get the pinster or the DrunkenMonkey! And then whether to go with a 2500 or a 2000. I do both Kayak fishing and landbased and I am in a bit of a dilemma!!
Any advice would be great appreciate

Forgot to mention going to either spool with .8 PE or 1 PE and want enough grunt to pull perch and bream from snags but to also be able to flick stick minnows a long way!!

I have a couple of the lighter rods and they are awesome.

Need some advice on one to match to a 4000 Ci4 (14lb braid) for chasing some Cod and Big Yellas up the murray. Mainly boat fishing, probably plastics, hard bodies and some bait as well for I am sick of casting.

Prefer 2 or 3 piece.

All suggestions welcome.
