decking questions
im about to add the ply decking to the boat but i don't want to see the screw heads poking through the carpet ....whats the best way to secure the ply to the ali angle

Trust me Boss you wont even notice the heads an hour into your first trip out.Just screw them below floor level so as you cant stand on them...l must admit l anguished over this on my first boat l decked out but then saw others and realised it was no big deal...like l said you wont even give it a second thought a trip in.

screwed my ply straight on to the Ali....
Although once you have carpet on it does cause the screws to be not so noticable. Best way to go so you can romove for the once a year cleanup....well next year maybe

work it all out screw your ply down to the aliminium then glue the carpet over the ply . problem solved no screw heads.

Yeah thats a top solution till you have to remove the decks for any reason.
