I have a 420 with 50hp 4 yammie and generally fishes two but at times three. I fish rough water at times so don't really notice the stability issue as boat rocks with the wave anyway. I do some crabbing in calm water with 1m pro pots and never had issue with two of us on one side. I never felt the boat underpowered or overpowered 50 is just perfect.

Hi bud, I have a 440 ts with a df60a Suzuki and absolutely love it. I have had two other boats first a sea jay territory 40hp yammi and a sea jay tropic with the new yammi f70a. The ride is a lot dryer in the qunni and the stability for boat of this size. If you are able to go for a ride in a 440 I think you will be impressed.

Cheers

My boat was doing my head in, unstable, 2 stroke, and just not comfortable. Traded it for the 420 Renegade SC with the 50hp Yamaha 4 stroke. Only picked it up yesterday so I am looking forward to getting on the water soonish.

Ive had my 420sc for three years now and cant fault it Ride through chop is great and no problem with stability I'm 90kg and my fishing mate is 115kg I have a 50hp 4st yammie on it but I do have to play with the trim a bit to take out a little bit of porpoising

420 renegades are beasts I have 3 Mates with them now and my next boat will be a bigger one. We can fish myself and one other both about the 100kg mark standing on the gunnels on one side plus a third bloke standing fishing the same side, stable as they come!! They eat it up when it's roigh too. And as always go the biggest donk you can! One of my mates just had his replated and put a 60 yammie on the back and it's a weapon now!
