2000 or 2500

i have been tossing up latly to go for a diawa kastor 2000 or 2500 any comments????

2000 for sure, but even better would be a 1500 if they come in that size.

yer 2000 coz in between 1500 and 2500, even if a jewie gets on u should have enough in it!

if it just bream go 1500... but if u plan to use bream/ flathead or whatever go 2000... it all comes down to weight really i reckon...

2000 in any of the diawa range, x, s, kastor, etc. If you can also get a 1500

2000 is pretty big, I have a few Capricornn 1500's and they're huge.

- 1000 Daiwas have a shite small narrow useless-for-casting spool
- 1500 and 2000 Daiwas are identical bar spool size. So go the 2000 for more line cap.
- 2500 Daiwas are the next step up in terms of drag pressure, but also weigh more.

For bream? The 2000 for sure...

Dan a jewie will not necessarily kill you on a 2000 sized reel. I've landed a 9kg fish in heavy cover (although I've lost a few too!) and you can get a fair bit out of those tiny washers...

For a predominantly bream reel go the 2000 size. If you find a mulloway, you might get lucky.

Yeh i know what you mean chris , but for some one who is inexperienced will struggle as you say you can get them in but it's not to easy.
