new size limits

bream size limits up from 26 to 28 in vic as from 1st of march.does that go in the comps as well ?

Don't forget that is tip size, generally the comps are measured to the fork.

if that's the new rule then yes. they don't have different size limits for comps and then everyone else,

Dan I think you'll find the comp minimum is 26 fork whereas min legal size for fisheries purposes is 26 total length.

Based on that I wouldn'e be surprised if comp legal became 28 fork, now that will sort the men from the boys..... wont it Mummy

Its good that the limit has gone up but i can see now thwt its ging to make it hard in the comps.

Where going to have to work harder for that kicker fish just to fill our bags lol

I thought i read somewhere that Vics size goes up 1st march 2010.

I must be mistaken maybe ?

i know what your saying, but a 28 to the fork is about a 31 overall. it;s going to make it even harder now.

Where's Bill for some clarification when you need him

Having 26cm Fork will still meet the regs as this is generally a 28cm+ fish anyways, but increasing the fork length to 28cm would make for interesting comps

Maybe an idea for them to decrease the bag size then if the legal size is increased?

Maybe 3 or 4 fish i don't know?

Whatever the legal length is (28cm) it will be that length (28cm) to the fork in any comp - ABT or classic
