Timbo, Timbo, Timbo

The new series is about to start with plenty of fish in it, first few shows are in Cape York - plenty of fish, mainly small queenies on slugs and some nice golden trevally caight by Paul annd I on plastcs.
We have just returned from South West Rocks where we caught some big dolphin fish, best one was about 30lb - caught by a very good angler, along with a heap of other dollies around 4-8kg on livies, I also did really well using plastics on a squidgy barra spin rod and 10lb braid - tunz of fun.
Finally I also managed a 60lb cobia - unfortunatley not on a plastic

hope you get to see the shows and hope you enjoy the new series.

Lee

G'day Lee,

I was up at South West Rocks same time as you and Rex, I took a charter with Ray Glenn on Gunrunner on the Wed and saw you guys out there - nice weather wasn't it? Thumping sea and NE gale. We too got some dolphin fish up to 6kg and I managed a 35-40kg beakie and lost one a bit bigger 5 turns of the reel before shy of it being traced. We raised another three beakies but lost them too.

My mate and I normally charter Lawrie for a day for $600 but the "Bearded Burbler" beat me to it he he he.

Got a heap of bream in the river on SP's and a couple of bigger fish on the R2Sea static shed. Also caught some flatties but the size were down this time in. The bigger fish were closer to the mouth of the river taken on live bait, but we exclusively fished lures.

i just love the place.

Budda

Budda,

SWR is definatley a favourite of mine, the only problem is that there is so much variey of fishing and so little time.
A few afternoons while the others slept back at the motel I fished
the back creek and that back water that runs by the co-op land based, but only managed a few small bream, got some bloody good bites from the sandfiles though.
Pity you lost the marlin, we did the same on a black about 90kg
Cant wait to get back there soon, I think I will tow my hornet up there next time so I can get into the racks up the back.

Hi Lee,

Hey last week I saw you with Rex in Tassie catching Salmon and Tailor with some plastic tube on a hook.

How did you get that to sink, or did you run it across the top like a popper?

Cheers
