Casting seat

Any advice on where to get or how to build a casting seat/lean seat to suit my 2006 Hornet trophy 400? The ones on offer through Quintrex are very expensive and not height adjustable and most of the pedestals i've seen are the wrong diameter for the quinnie. I've seen the Springfield Pro "stand up" seats for sale at good prices but any advice on the pedestal would be great.

and this is the pedestal - do you know what diameter pole they use - because Pvc piping can be used to make up the difference on skinnier poles - you just cut off a length and put it over the pole so it doesnt rattle around

Just did some searching and found this -

if I was a more cynical man I'd say - It almost looks as if they have designed their front deck so it wont take anything but a Quintrex post. But where theres a will, theres a way

I was going to get a neoprene trailer roller turned down to fit into the seat post hole and then slide the pin on the pole into that, I have seen this done and it is a simple cheap fit, plus it is then rust proof. Just never got round to it.

Hope this helps
Matt

Yes this is similar Yellow Door but mine is a 2006 model so there is a step as well. The diameter of the other pedestals is 50mm I think.
