Leader knot to lure

HI everyone.
I've been using a FG knot to join my leader to braid no problems, nice strong knot, cast well doesn't catch on the guides, all good.
But obviously the down side is there has to be a weak link in the system in this case the leader knot to lure.
I've always used a uni knot to tie the leader to the lure but since using the FG knot the line nearly always breaks at the lure which is obviously the preferred area to break.
But I'am starting to question as to weather the uni knot is giving away to easily and maybe there is a better option to use?
Would like to know what knot other people use to join the leader to lure.
Cheers.

always used a uni knot, could be the fish are swallowing the lure and chewing on the knot.

The uni works fine but is weaker than the FG...nothing to do with the old myth of bream chewing leaders

You probably won't find a lure connection knot that will consistently outlast the FG. To me that's a good thing though as I hate tying the FG on the water. I've always used a uni but there is probably something with higher knot strength. Following.

yep, centauri or double centauri for joining lines is a winner. Its really quick and easy.

One simple way to increase the strength of the knot is to either double the line or pass the line through the eye of the hook twice before tying - it spreads the load over a wider area.

Just get your self a cheap set of digital luggage scales off ebay and start tying.

You might find you tie some knots better than others - it will also teach you the benefits of lubrication and how to best tighten each not

What knot is that? The triple tag end would be a pain in the arse surely?

Pass the line through the eye of the hook twice and tie a uni.

It's called a Fish-n-Fool. Make sure you lubricate it well before cinching the knot.

Yellow Door is spot on. This is my preferred method of attaching leader to lure.
Simply double the line and apply a 5 turn uni, make sure you pull down evenly to get a neat finish. *Lubricate well.
