Wiggle minnows are the best. Play around with thinner foam and bigger eyes or lead wire to get them to suspend and sink at different rates

Just found this post...not on here for a while. Heath's on the money . Mark in reply to you wondering how the vinyl bibbed flies went...well crap. Because they don't have buoyancy like a foam wiggle minnow they need to be stripped fast to get any wiggle. This is not good for slow stop start retrieves where you get the fly slowly rising after being stripped. There also seems to be a "minimum" width you can go down to on the bib (foam) and still get a decent wiggle going. 10 MM wide seems to be best. Cheers Pat.
