i wouldnt know but id suggest using some sort of polycarbonate spray on plastic hardbody type lures. Bonds much better and you can get it at most hobby shops

nail polish works and you can get a heap of colours cheap.

permanent markers work aswell.

can't beat hobby paint and an airbrush set-up though.

for metal blades you can also get a bake-on paint - heat up the blade, dip it into the powder, watch it melt then let it cool.

Hi Guys

In all seriousness if you want a new paint job on your lures get in touch with Dan Stead from Impact Tackle who air brushes lures and the quality he turns out will blow your mind. For a pretty cheap price when compared to the process involved you can get all your lures with colours you don't throw and have them pimped by Dan into the perfect colour pattern you had always dreamed about.
You can check out some info on Dan at www.bream.com.au

Cheers
Bill

Hi Guys

Yeah Dan is the man. It totally spun me out the lengths he goes to to get a good job for the client. He actually gets the lures sandblasted with an extremely fine sand blasting machine as some paint stripping solutions can react with the plastics in the lures. He use a dye style paint solution to get the translucency in his lure colours.

Have a look at just some of the colours he has done. Just vib shots but his hardbody colours are awesome.

For those interested I will be promoting Dan in detail on the www.vicbreamclassics.com.au website so people can se a huge range and the process to get their lures pimped

Ah I was waiting for someone to notice the blades

These are Impact Tackles very first product they are called Bladez. They are 44mm long, 1/6oz heavy and made from puiter. They have a flat section on the head to give a really deep vibration. They are shaped more like a bait fish profile which has proven hugely successful. The best thing is these lures are produced and then hand painted by Dan at PML (Pimp My Lure). They have heaps of pearlessence in the paint so they change colour as they reflect the light which has been unseen in blades to date. That is the full colour range and I can tell you they have officially hit the tackle stores this week.

I can tell you guys that these vibs are going to be huge based on their peformance in testing. Fitted with quality owner hardware they are a winner.

Go get em.
