How to clean your Sunnies

I've recently started wearing Reading glasses and realised cleaning them with a tissue was just pushing the finger grease around the lens.

It wasnt until a bloke at work said "dishwashing liquid" was the answer, that I realised the extent of a tissues ineffectiveness.

There is an ingredient in some dish washing liquid that isnt good

How warm is too warm and what are the dangers of warm water?

I've just been running the glass between my fingers with detergent until it stops being slippery - but the water is luke warm as opposed to hot

Edit - just found this

Do not expose spectacles to high temperatures of more than 80 °C (e. g. in a sauna or on the car dashboard in sunlight).

Try this.

1/3 white vinegar
1/3 distilled water
1/3 isopropyl alcohol
1 drop of dishwashing liquid

Best glass cleaner I have used.

Yeah I've heard good and bad things about vinegar - heres the bad

3. Vinegar, Window Cleaner, and Toothpaste

Many people think that they can clean eyeglasses with vinegar as it is an excellent cleaning agent for many things within the household, and also has a good reputation for being nontoxic. However, it can be very damaging to your lenses.

Also, you can’t clean your glasses with Windex, Lysol or any type of window cleaner, ammonia or other stronger chemical cleaning supplies on the lenses. If you have any kind of anti-reflective coating, it will start to break it down and eventually destroy it.

The mix was from a telescope lens manufacturer, I found it works great.

On the banned list don't use isopropyl alcohol on its own as it will harm the plastic, this I learned from experience in destroying a pair of frames from a well known local manufacture.
