about 20 mtrs snappad at the end of the spool so 120 mtrs [ or what ever it is ] i got 100mtrs .......................................

in 2 days of casting hb,s around it started flufing ..................

on my last cast with the rubbish i got the biggest wind knot i have ever had .

im a berkley fan ... my 3 main rods are berkley .i use crystal fireline ....

Good but some issues

I'm currently using the 4 lb and very happy with the performance. Casting and sensitivity and wind knot resistance.
Although, 50% of my leader knots ( improved albright or slim beauty) seem to cut the leader (3 lb - 8 lb) clean off once I tension the knot (with saliva)..
For $$$'s I think crystal is better value.

Which comps?

What do you blokes think about Berkley exceed.
I have about 5 reels spooled with it 6.6lb and 8.8lb and find it awesome when it co-operates with knots.
It likes to break at the knots when I'm tying allbright knots but I do give them a very tight pull to test them.
I found doubling up on the braid then tying the knot helps allot.
Apart from that it's super thin and strong.
I think I might try power pro next cause it's so cheap and you bloke's rave about it.
Any idea what poundage the 6lb power pro brakes at and does it break down after using it for a while.
Thanks.

nanofil fan

i use 8 & 10 lb and i love it cast for miles strong as anything out there knots i use for joining to swivels is the one on the berkley site to leader a double uni 6 turns and call it strange I dont use saliva I use what ever waters on hand my personal beleif is the acid in your mouth can break down the knot strength I have had almost not breakages other that to much drag i will never go back to braid as such while this stuffs around

Powerpro breaks at just under double what its rated at. Ive heard good things about exeed too, particularly in the lighter stuff, 2 & 4 lb.

Oh yeah, caught this trying it out.

Caught this trying out Nanofil on BC reels.
Lack of line twisting makes it an excellent line

Caught on:
Volkey BFS VKC-692XUL + Last 4 guides with TiSC Fuji K micro.

Core 50mg7 + Avail ALD0929
+ SHS05 A mag brake + Carbontex + Hedgehog AIR bearings

10lb Nanofil

10lb Nitlon DFC

1/8oz Nitro SW 3" gulp shad

Leader knot is done with fluoro roughed with 600grit wet dry, 10 twist + 4 hitch FG knot. Nanofil works great as its tape like and smooth enough to let the whole knot tighten. Cured with Gel nail polish.

I've been using 8lb shimano power pro on my 2000 luvias.
Even tho it's tough and holds knots well I find it to stiff so I just bought some 6lb tufline.
The tufline seems to be very soft and silky.
I'll chuck it on my spare spool.

Nanofil breaks slightly over double, use the right knot system where the line doesn't fold at right angles or use a double and close to all that strength.

Although i didn't like it one spin reels I found it very nice for light BC setups.
Perhaps due to its smoothness through guides (all 11 micros) .215mm nanofil out casted my favourite 12lb at only .129mm.

150yds gets me 3 spools worth so the price isn't too much of an issue either.
