Does this stuff go brown like some other white braids do in dirty water?
Castability vs Sunline Castaway?

Yes distractor it will but if you give it a very good flush after your session it will of course minimize this and it will stay white for a lot longer

distractor, I have had 6lb SAS Braid for nearly 2 years a yes it has a slight discolour to it. Not as bad as I first would have thought after owning white braid before in a few differing brands that really "browned up" after 6 months or so after washing after each outing.
Cheers Gav

Dan, What sort of knot should I be tying in the SAS to get the most strength? I got some 8lb and 15lb off you last week after seeing the positive feedback and talking to Gav. At the moment i am using a double uni and getting a lot of knot slip and only 3-4lb knot strength from the 8lb. The slip is obviously due to the super thin diameter, but what knot should I be using to get the quoted 10lb breaking strength? Will try slim beauty, FG etc on your advice and compare knot strength to the uni. Cheers

yes a double uni will slip nearly everytime it is not a great knot and only gives up to a tested 57% of line strength

for our lines I use a PR KNOT firstly but this can be difficult to tie while out fishing so I also use the FG these 2 knots we have tested to be 93-99% strength of the weakest line. (there is a very good video going around facebook at the moment about tying a fast and easy fg maybe try and find that)

Im not a slim beauty fan but I know gav loves it and uses it very well and hasn't had one slip on him maybe ask him how he does them as I just cant seem to get them right.

but as I said my standout for strength and its tiny profile that casts like a dream is the PR KNOT check it out on youtube or our sasbraid website

cheers
dan

Just received delivery of the new 25lb hollow braid. First impressions is that it is very thin and smooth.

Can't wait to try spool up the spin reel and baicaster to see how it casts.

Can anybody tell me how this is better than other braids I know off that are far thinner and the breaking strain is far bigger like Toray Sea bass which you can get 0.8PE at 12lb. Just not sure what all the hype is about.

Nick 8lb SAS is 0.114mm thick, that's pretty damn thin. How thick is the Toray Sea Bass PE?

I guess price and quality combined is a big factor and at $40 a spool that is far better that other braids on the market in the same price bracket and does not compare. Its very thin and very strong too. My 2c anyway
