Hidden Weight
Hi Campers,
I have been using light hidden weight jig heads (~1g) around structure to make critter soft plastics flutter beside structure. Do people find there is benefit in using a heavier hidden weight (2g and heavier) jig head over a conventional jig head? I was thinking if the bite is tough the same weight in a hidden weight might be another one of those 1% ers. TIA

One of my most favorite rigs is using HWS jigheads up to 1/16 in 80mm wrigglers 3in gulp minnows and gladiator smashbaits

I use them exclusively and i reckon their the best anything you can use that doesnt change the look of your plastics the better also i think that your plastics swim better with the hidden weights

That was my thinking, what size hook do you find works best?

I'm a massive fan of the 1/60th hidden weights. Rigging 80mm wriggles or monster miki's with them creates the perfect finesse presentation for larger more spookier fish holding on walls or in snags. The placcies look super natural on the sink and give the fish plenty of time to check them out. With a shakey retrieve with very subtle twitches this technique is absolutely deadly.
