Nor should there be. Who wants to fork out extra dollars just to make a rod look better?

Ha! What ive found is that usually a brands top of the line comes standard with a certain level of "bling", (i know it gets refered to as bling but id call it attention to design and detail) so im a little surprised when rods that might have decent components have a bit of a cheap and cheerful build.

The Tournament AGS rods are labelled up like they belong in a caravan park kiosk!

would be nice to get the 'kung fu prancer' but I don't think I can justify $500+ considering my skill level lol.

I just can't justify the cost on some of the rods on the market these days.my price range is between $200 to $300 at the most.diawa makes some fine fishing gear but some of the prices are just incredible.

Steez range was $649, now the new battler looks like a steez blank + AGS guides, AGS is one of Daiwa's top bling, have a look Tournament AGS rods, they are $949, Gekkabijin AGS Ajing is $549 but they are not compile X blanks, so I guess they will be in perrty high price range, more likely I'd say $749 or $849.

Daiwa said on FB that the battlers would be no where near the price of the other AGS rods.

Is there a really big difference in the diawa rod say compared to a loomis 8200 that you can buy around the $300.

If I'm rolling hards I can actually feel what the lure is running over. Rock, sand, mud VERY CLEARLY. There is no "maybe that was a hit" you definitely know when you get tapped. I've had times where I can comfortably say that my lure just hit a small twig and leaf on the bottom or what type of weed I'm stuck in with a vibe or plastic. I talk them up yes but giving credit where credit is due!

The sensitivity is just astonishing! Hence why I want these Battlers! It's hard to describe, I know other AGS owners will vouch for it.

Have you tried a GLX in exactly the same conditions? The GLX has no bling but I reckon sensitivity-wise they'll have to be the benchmark and would be curious how the Battlers stack up against them. I've previously owned the first generation Battler Kingbolt and I can't say they're as sensitive as the GLX.

Were the Team Daiwa battlers compile-x or just SVF because thats going to make a difference. Also the guides, i wouldnt really class the AGS as bling. Simple fact is they transfer a vibration stronger at a higher frequency than ss or Ti.
