I'd probably spend $350 on a Northfork blank and ATC SiC guides and the rest on a Sunline spooled Certate 2004.

Rocksy is a dangerous man haha

As for me, probably a megabass racing condition 256 reel on any garden twig with snail shells cut open as guides. That would do me nicely

EXIST HYPER BRANZINO CUSTOM 2508R SPECIAL instead, and black recoils/k guides.

depend on how big the bream are, I just fitted out a combo for the big breams from around SA, we're talking really big ones around structure...

went for

Exist hyper branzino custom 2508R and a steez 701 MLFS spin rod. spooled with sunline 16lb castaway, although that braid is comeing down to 12 or 10lb castaway soon enough...

looking forward to playing with a few of the handmade EDGE rods when the arrive built on northfolk composite blanks, imported by EJ Todd...

Reels wise: Certate 2506 or Steez 2508 and if you really want to waste money on extravagent toys exists in either 2508 or 2506.

The combo I posted is what I would buy as a maximum.. I wouldn't spend the $1000, therefore I can't really comment on what I would buy at that price point.
Why not chill and have a bit of fun?

Sage Bass and a Tibor Everglades Why not be different.
