Epoxy shrimp.
I've been playing around with this pattern for some time. It's a pattern that has been used with a lot of success on the Glenelg River at Nelson on the local black bream.
This one is tied on a size 8 stainless hook. The body is made of tan super hair covered with UV epoxy resin. The eyes are black glass beads, threaded onto some 30lb mono and then epoxied into position. The stinger hook is a size 12 Umpqua. The tail is made from two loops of 30lb mono. The antennas are made from 15lb mono. The legs are made from a very fine silicon rubber.
So far, I've just tank tested the fly and it sinks as it should. Hopefully the local bream will take a shine to it.
