As a non boater you are only fishing against the other non boaters and both the boaters and non boaters are just regular guys that like tournament fishing. Give it a go, its a great way to meet other breamers, learn from your boaters, maybe even teach the boaters something too. 2011 was my first year of ABT and I got 2 10th places out of 3 events so if I can do it anyone can

Hey,

Give it a go, you'll find most Boaters are good blokes and its a good couple of days on the water and a chance to share info.

From there you can start looking at some of the teams events which are also good fun.

Cheers,

It seems I was your "lucky charm"...hahaha

Give the ABT a go, $50 to join up, $100 to enter a comp and if you don't like it (i'm sure you will) you havent lost a great deal of money or time. The stuff you get in the membership pack will probaly equal more than $50 anyway, plus the 10% tackle discount.

It's interesting to be able to watch other guys/girls go about fishing - not just the technique's but boat set up, time management and mental attitude ect. I've fished in only a handful of comps but have fished with guys at the very top of the breamin' game to guys that have a more social view to the comps and I've learnt something from them all.

Give it a go - what do you have to lose?

Hi all, does anyone know when we should be receiving membership packs? I've noticed the tournament guide is out in newsagents, but I still haven't recieved anything. Cheers, Ryan

Depends when you payed for your membership mate. Most would have recieved them by now. I recieved my renewal reminder over a month ago. Just contact abt and ask them whats happening, they should sort it out for you.
