SSNS Round 3 - James Makes it a Clean Sweep

We may never know where he fishes in the Swan, but there may be more than just a few anglers following him in the future if his form in this seasons SSNS is any indication.

James, and each of his partners, took out each round of the SSNS for the 2006-2007 series ringing bells for all those anglers who will be competing at the AOY round in Perth later this year.

While not the run away winner he had been in the first 2 events, James and partner Keith Howlett managed a last hour run to land 3 rats and one nice kicker of just over a kilo to win the round by just over 50g. Their kilo fish was also Big Bream for the final round, a nice little bonus to go with their winners prize.

In second place was Dror Pietsch and partner Leon Tander. It was Dror's first comp outing in his new Trophy Bay Boat, courtest of Avante Marine. The guys did well and had a good day, but just fell short of the winning total. I'm sure we'll see more of Dror during the 2007 series. We'd also like to say a big thanks to Dror for coming along Sarah is close to due with their first bub. Appreciate the effort mate.

In third place, and not that far off the pace, was David O'Reilly and partner Gary Dillon. Both guys had a great day with plenty of fish caught, but just couldn't get the kicker required to push them a little higher.

Bear:' I'd like to thank all of the anglers who made the SSNS possible. It was great to see so many new faces and even better to see some ladies come along and give it a go as well. It's a great way to get a taste for how the AOY series runs. I hope to see some of the new faces in the AOY rounds for 2007.'

WABT will be posting up info on the 2007-2008 SSNS later in the year.

Well done to James on his win. A clean sweep is some pretty fine consistency. I think we are all in trouble if he is fishing as a boater this year.
Thanks to WABT for another great event. I was unable to make the other two events this summer but was very happy to at least be able to fish one. They are a great event and are somewhat more relaxed than the AOY rounds. And to top it off you finish at a location that literally has million dollar views. Thanks to MBSC for the use of their venue. It is one of the best things that has ever happened to WA breaming.

Cheers, Dror

I'd like to thank Bear,Sewelly & Richo for putting it all together.

Well done James! You ROCK!

We had a hard day yesterday and ended up with a dismall 2 fish for 810 grams......LOL!

I should never have sold James the 'LUCKY' Hornet....

Dror that Trophy of yours looks a treat! (Good luck with the new addition to your family).

Kym & I have both thoroughly enjoyed fishing the SSNS as our first foray into the 'tourny scene' (allbeit a relaxed one).

We'd like to thank everyone for their support in welcoming us aboard.

I aim to fish some of the AOY rounds this year (work permitting)....... Bring on the doughnuts!!

Thank's again guys!

Rossco

Glad I could make one of the days. Cheers to Bear and WABT crew for putting these together. Casual and a fun day on the water. More boats next year would make it all the better.

There seems to be a few results missing Bear?

Great effort James. You should be proud of your results in light of the quality of anglers you came up against.
