I have been testing the 4-10lb 2 piece lately and was impressed. fairly responsive rod for the line class.

carrot stix

I've got 3 of em & love em been getting some good fish on them recently
so far 45cm snapper, quite a few bream, a 53 cm school mully.
the models i chose were CLTX702ml 7' 1/16-3/8 4-10lb -
CLTX662ml 6'6" 1/32 -5/16oz 4-10lb 2pce
& the gold series 21CRG671m-m-sw 3/16-5/8oz 4-10lb 1pce
with the minimal reel seat & grips gives me more feel of whats happening down on the lure & I've so far been able to turn more fish around & bully them outa of snags than i can recall of any other rods I've used in the past those carrot fibres just seem to give these rods the guts to do the job with out any excess weight, bloody bewties, soon to order no4!!!!

what are the grips like on them? i tend to fish with the reel stem between my litttle finger and ring finger... would this feel as bad as it looks like it would feel? i like the idea of the minimalist design but it just looks like the grip is in the wrong place...

None of the E21 rods do actually have carrot fibres in them. The original prototype rods that built all the hype did, and won them best of show awards when displaying them to the public, but those blanks very quickly broke down apparently. So the fibres never made it past prototype stage... Interestingly enough the pro angler that was there major spokesman has left E21 also after they named a range of rods after him.

I'm interested in possibly getting a couple, but have been tossing up which ones to look at for bream rods and freshwater casting. And also interested to see what people think of these rods over time and whether they stand up to a beating.
