Until they widen the bike tracks around town - the Bunnings trolleys are safe

The Kayak was pushing the limits of safe urban travel -

The Bunnings trolley would turn a bike path - into a blood bath

Good to see you've still got the kayak. I always thought that got swept away when the river flooded under the bridge it was hidden in.

Nah its an old photo - It did get swept away I think - We went passed in Nicks rig after the flood and it was gone

I had it padlocked through the scuppers so it was either torn off by the flood - someone picked the lock - or someone cut the chain - end result Kayak gone.

Fun while it lasted but I always knew something would happen to it - I'm kind of surprised it lasted as long as it did - I had my money on the cbd bong-heads setting it on fire

( Now that I think about it - I reckon those boats that collect rubbish might have cut the chain and taken it - because I do remember seeing it hanging in plain sight a week or 2 before the flood - I was on Nick rig again and couldnt be stuffed doing anything about it)

For your worm hooks, rather than split shot wrap the bend with lead wire you can position it wherever and get different actions out ya SPs or you can just use sheet lead bashed flat n cut into strips n wound on, super glue will oxides n go white epoxy the go n ya still feed ya SP on without forking it.

Sweet - I've still got about 80 to do so I will definitely give the sheet lead a try.

I've got some sheet lead out the back from making sinkers.

Yeah with the split shot method, you have to poke a hole through the nose of the lure - then feed the eye of the hook through that hole.

And the reason I super glue the split shot into place, is I hate it when it slides up and down the shank - some of my lures require weight forward or they spaz out. I usually just super glue the splits shots to different parts of the shank for different presentations The majority of what I do is weight forward but I do keep a few with the weight in the middle for special spots

Other sliding weight systems, have a habit of coming loose and it does my head in. But I'll give the sheet lead a go and crimp it on nice and tight when I find the sweet spot for that session

Kind of makes me wish I hadnt wasted all that cash on these bad boys yesterday

Thanks for the tip

I was going to have to wait too long for the petrol powered unit, so I put the feelers out and borrowed a little Karcher - it gave all it had - I just wish it had a little more

The internet was saying 1500 psi was about right for wood (thats what I assumed the little karcher I borrowed was) - the bloke at Bunnings reckoned 1800 psi was about right - I reckon the petrol powered 4800 psi unit would have shaved 80% of the time and done a better job.

The guy who was going to lend it too me said - "this unit will burrow through steel and hit China if you're not careful" - he also mentioned it will cut work boots, and anything thats in them, in half.

But whats done is done - Just got to let them dry for a few days before lubing them up

I was wondering what plants to put inbetween the seats - I was thinking 1 at each end - and 1 in the middle.

When I spotted this off cut on the side of the road - I thought all my Christmases had come at once - I figured I'd just cut it up into 3 bits and pot em.

But after consulting my "Work Place Gardening Yoda" he said that isnt going to work. If I'm lucky I'll get one out of it.

He said - rip most of the leaves off - cut its arse off and rub honey into the wound
