Leader Choices

hey everyone,im in the process of cleaning out and organising my tackle collection and its come to my attention i need some new leader. At the moment i have momoi, seaguar and siglon im really dissapointed with the siglon,im thinking i must have got a poor quality batch.Anyway,im looking at buying a spool of each 4,6,8,10,12lb and i want the same brand so my tackle bag is neat and organised. It would be great if i could hear some of the pros and cons of all the major brands around as this will make my choice alot easier. At the moment ive got these names on my list momoi, seaguar, nitlon, yamatoyo and maxima.
Thanks again,ba.

I use Nitlon in 4, 6,7 and 8 lb. Ive got no complaints about it at all. I know theres heaps of other good brands but im a firm believer in the saying "If its working for ya, why change" Nitlon for me!

Hi K4,
the Linesystem leaders are available in shops. but not sure where (not my department ) but I do know a large shipment came in and went straight out to shops just before the Xmas break.

Price wise I can't give you a retail price, because it varies from shop to shop as it depends on what mark up a shop works on, I do know it's pretty good value. I have been involved in the testing of Linesystems lines and leader for over 12 months now and without pushing the barrow to much, It's worth considering. Hope this helps.

Cheers Samurai

Bushido, would you mind posting a pic of the recommended Bass Hard braid and Egging fluoro please.

I've looked over the R2S Aust website pics of the spool covers but it'd be great if u can put the spool on its side so we can see a pic of the colour? (especially the braid)

Cheers

Matt

Sorry Matt,
my mistake, I thought I had put a spool of braid on it's side so you could see the colour. There will be a pic there tomorrow.

Cheers Samurai

Yet to use anything better than the Yamatoyo. Been using it for a couple of years now and really done the job.

Ive used a few now.

Nitlon is pretty good (dont like the 4lb for some reason, but 6lb and up is awesome).

Seguar Carbon Pro (actually a main line i believe) is pretty nice aswell.

PVDF(sp?) is bloody abrasive resistant, however, its so stiff it makes knots a bit frustrating.

I'm very keen to try the gear from Linesystems in the near future.

Dave

Nitlon 6, 8, 10 lbs all the way. Great stuff.
If you are in Melb., ring Cranbourne tackle, ask for Jarrod. He can even organise the purchase over the phone with your credit card, or just pop in. The postage will be just a few bucks.
Cheers,
Alex
