Info/ thoughts please
Hey guys. I'm specifically interested in any info and thoughts from anyone who has USED the following rods. In which situations are they good/ not so good, and why?
Daiwa Procaster Z Shimano T-curve XL Daiwa Heartland Saegake (Hama special) Please don't make alternate suggestions as I've already used and/ or gathered specific info on other options in this price range which are also being considered. Thank you.

As I've said many times lately, the Saegake is IMO the best rod in that price range.
I have a few of them now and have used them for unweighted to 1/16oz SP work and they perform very well. However, I've recently been leaving them at home and gone back to fishing all breambusters, but they're a different price range all together.

Yes they are. When I can do them justice I will look at the BB's and Battlers (this is a while off
). Thanks for your input Swoffa.PS- how do you find the non-cork grips?

As for the grips, I like the feel but it took a while to get used to the length. It's OK now, but as I said I've gone back to Millers.

Mate, the Z's are a very nice rod. Quite popular down here Vic too. Match em' with a 2000 and your'e laughing!
If you have the money, go for the saegake. JMO. Cheers, Ryan.

I had a good look at one of the T-Curve's at the show and am considering getting one for the missus, matched with a twin power.

The problem with all of them is getting them past the missus! 2 piece might help here, she'll think it's the same as my old rods! But seriously, the reel seat is what's pushing me towards the Saegake or the T-curve out of these 3 rods. I think the T-curve XL is designed for similar applications as the BB Finesse, which is what I can see myself using in the future. Might just have to get one of each to cover all bases though...

I must be one of the fortunate few where my girlfriend enjoys fishing just as much as me. Hell she's the one who got me my HL-Z for christmas

My girl enjoys fishing too, for the first 10 minutes (or 2 fish). And there's no way she'd buy me anything to do with fishing, let alone know what a Saegake is!
