ebay
Was having a look on ebay the other day...
Saw a nice little Okuma Inspira IS 15 going, among other things. THought I'd give the place a trundle and see how it goes.. Anyway, three days later and I have in my hand a NOICE little IS15, the real deal... HA HA $61 plus $6 postage!!! Score methinks. How the hell do these blokes actually make any money out of it when they have to sell it fot that?!! What is it? Black market? Organised crime? Or just plain legit? Got me buggered. Eyeing off an IS40 now as a snapper reel. Off the same dude. If it stays under $100 its mine I tells ya. |

A lot of the new reels on Ebay are being sold by shops. The starting bid is usually what they pay for it, that way they don't lose money.
A Capricorn is only about $120 wholesale I think.

Yeah, I dont mean to offend...
BM is one of the best online fishing stores in OZ. I was just curious and purchased this one as a impulse. The starting bid on this was $1, so there goes the break even theory. Hmmmm,..... |

Does the warranty still count if you buy from Ebay?

Not normally Panger, but that’s when they bring it to the local independent tackle store (that they skipped for a “great price”) and try to get them to sort it out and then have the nerve get stroppy when they have to pay for parts

No reserve on it, which is what got me.
And if it broke down for some reason, i would not be taking it to a shop for a warranty repair.... I'd just take it to the local Complete angler and pay for the repair. If it cost heapsto repair, the reel would be in the bin. You can buy a Daiwa capricorn, from 1500 to 4000 size for under AU$100. But its coming from the US. Anyhoo, I just thought that the whole thing was interesting. |

Alright guys (Im sure you were expecting this) as BM sell the reels you mention Im going to close this thread simply because we do not promote purchasing from ebay as it is in direct competition to all Australian Tackle retailers including BreamMaster.
Dont get me wrong, individuals have the right to buy from wherever they want including ebay, but refrain from posting about it here as the BM site has an online store, quite simply keep it to yourselves.. Once again, Im being general, and im quite happy to discuss any issues with anyone via PM`s, especially if anyone disagree`s. No offence intended. cheers guys
