Other fish species caught on softies
Interested in what other fish types people have caught and where they have had success other than river/estuary
![]() I have caught flounder, skippy, tailor and herring in and around rock groynes in the harbour. At the moment it is full of small tailor so im thinking mulloway would be around |

The majority of southern Estuary species have taken my softie's over time:
Bream Flathead Whiting Trevally Tailor Salmon Flounder Red Gurnard Luderick Silver Biddy Kingfish Two glaring ommisions for me - Bass and Jewfish Add to this list Trout and Golden Perch and I have covered most of the southern species. I would love to also add Estuary Perch to this list but have never actively targetted them. Cheers Matt |

There is a spot close to dunsborough that has wall to wall whiting. Known funnily enough as the whiting factory
![]() meant to be going back there and they should love a slider. Maybe atteched to a dropper rig coz the spot is in about 8-10 meters of water. Think that will work? or suggestions |

Ira I did see your article on the Kalgan and it looked hot, the action seemed nonstop.
The mulloway that were caught were what got me thinking that I could try it around here. ATM the biggest soft plastic I have is a 3" glow curly tail. Maybe a shad is the go |

HEey Bream JR, that jighead you are using is probly a bit heavier then what is needed. I would recommend 1/16 or possibly 1/32 jigs. How deep is the area's were you usually fish? the spots I go to are usually shallow so prefer the 1/32 but they lacks a bit of casting.
Give the 1/16 jigs a go BreamJR and then go from there. hope that is helpful
