come on richo
i was gonna make a 6ft rod locker and cut the top 6 inches off the rod,being a dumb builder thats the logical thing to do......... lol

What sort of boat do you have?
I cut a hole in the side of my rear casting deck so I can stick the butts of my 7' rods through so they fit in the 6'10" space. Might be worth a try... there's pics on here somewhere...
