Talking Soon, But not soon enough

Hi All

With a few months of research, some great input from these forums (thanks guys) and a few weeks of sweet talking the missus we were off to Lemon Tree Passage last night to order the new boat.

I ended up deciding on a 4.3 TR series Elegant boat with a 50hp 4st Merc with hydraulic steering under the prevision that the missus gets to pick the colour. I might end up with a lovely pastel pink boat yet

There are 2 others with their orders in before me so I am looking at 12 weeks delivery. Its going to be tough but well worth the wait. All going well it will be here well and truly before Port Macquarie Bream event.

I’m a little bit excited. 12 weeks and counting.

Here’s a some photos of what was in the work shop last night.

This is one Raffi is just about finished.

Hi Jethro,

They're great looking boats arnt they. Unfortunately I cant get one for a few years yet. Until the boys grow up and want to come fishing with dad, I hope. What length is the boat in the pics. Cheers.

Andrew - The boat in the pic is a 4.5m. The 4.3 is the same dimesions just 200mm off the back end. All going well she is going to be ready at the end of October. So it should be in time for Port Macquarie. I will be happy to take you for a run.

Its going to be a long 12 weeks.

Hey Jethro, Which Port Mac Bream event are you talking about? I wouldn't mind fishing it. I've fished the Port a couple of times, I dig it.

G'day Angry Thanks for the PM

The Port Bream Classic. Its a teams event on the 13th and 14th of November. Its an ABT event, there are more details on the BREAM WEBSITE

All going well the boat should be ready by then. Raffi is hoping to go up and fish it as well. So theer will be a few Elegants kicking around.

I'll give Raffy a good prod to get him up there . Be good to fish that comp, bream events are sadly lacking for the rest of the year, unless you're lucky enough to have qualified for the Grand final
